ATON-SSA Ground-based Stations are robotic optical systems that enable detection, tracking, estimating of the orbit of, identification, characterization, and cataloging of all space objects in sight, across all orbits.
The photo-optical reading technique is the method of tracking objects. In this technique, images of space objects and stars are exposed at the same time.
The appropriate image analysis can distinguish between the stars and space objects.
The direction of the space object’s motion can be determined using measuring the distance of several basic stars around the space object.
